- All the actors from the original 60s Addams Family sitcom (John Astin, Carolyn Jones, Ted Cassidy and Jackie Coogan) reprise their roles, with the exception of Pugsley and Wednesday's actors, Ken Weatherwax and Lisa Loring. They were replaced by Cindy Henderson and Jody Foster.

The gang is stopped by Officer Don Knotts when his gages are switched and he believes the gang is speeding. Since they are lost anyways, they decide to follow him back to the town of Juneberry, where a spooky fog is surrounding the town and the cemetery is haunted by restless spirits.
Trivia:
- This episode is sometimes erroneously referred to as "The Spooky Fog of Juneberry."

- Alex Toth created many of the monster designs for this episode, but he is not credited. The monster designs, which were published years after the episode aired, named several of the villains who were previously unnamed in the episode.
- Shaggy's lips do not move when he is yelling for help in the tunnel.
- One restaurant in Juneberry is named "El Taco," which literally translates in English to "The Taco" (a very bland and unlikely name for a restaurant).

Guest Star: Laurel & Hardy
The gang picks up a stranded Laurel and Hardy on their way to the Mackinar Ski Lodge, where the Ghost of Bigfoot is scaring all the guests away from the lodge.

- Scooby's paw is miscolored at one point when he hugs Laurel.
- Hardy switches back and forth between the bed on the left and the bed on the right when Laurel brushes his teeth in the bathroom.
- Logically, the scene where Laurel is hiding under the sheet does not make sense. Bigfoot's foot is seen hiding under the sheet when Scooby lifts it up, but somehow, Bigfoot goes into the piano and Laurel goes under Bigfoot's sheet without the audience seeing, despite that the same scenery was shown the entire time.
- Right before Hardy says "Bigfoot footsteps," Daphne's headband turns green before going back to its normal purple.
- The sign outside the hotel says "Mackinac Lodge," however, it is verbally referenced in all cases as "Mackinar Lodge."

- The title card misspells Davy Jones's name as "Davey."
- "I Can Make You Happy," the song sung by Davy Jones, was originally in "Mystery Mask Mix-Up" from Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? and sung by Austin Roberts.
- There are several voice animation errors in this episode: Scooby speaks without opening his mouth at one point, Davy speaks with Shaggy's voice at another point, and Velma speaks with Daphne's voice at one spot.

- Scooby's arm is missing when he points to the viking statue.
- Jerry's sleeve turns brown briefly when the gang is standing on the stage.
- The song that Shaggy and Scooby sing at the end ("When You're Hot, You're Hot") is a hit Jerry Reed single from 1971.
- When Shaggy asks Velma how many $1.50 pizzas he could get with $2 million, Velma does her math incorrectly (her answer is 1,333,033 pizzas, which is not the correct answer, 1,333,333 pizzas).

- When Fred, the girls and the Globetrotters run out of the cabin, the ghosts shut the door and say "there's no escape for thee!" This scene makes no sense as the gang had already escaped from the cabin, thus the ghosts just locked themselves in the cabin for no reason.
